Blaze

BISS CH IAT-RC's Eternal Flame MH

Blaze joined our family on August 8, 2001. From the beginning he was the one in the litter who would not be denied. His striking markings and his attitude were very distinctive and served him well. He became a Champion just before he turned two and had his first Best of Breed 6 weeks later. Blaze became our first Best in Specialty Show winner and a Master Hunter at the age of 4 and 1/2.  He spent his last year with our grandson Joey and was so patient with him, letting him crawl all over him.  Blaze left us on Thanksgiving day, a day in which we could all say that we were all so grateful he was part of our family.

Millie

BISS CH IAT-NMK's New Millennium Edge JH

On November 21, 1998 Millie came into our lives.  She was out of Schatzie’s first litter and was the consummate show dog.  She completed not only her AKC Championship but her International Championship as well.  She also won a Sporting group during her brief specials competition career.  She earned her Junior Hunter title and a leg of Senior Hunter but the show ring was her forte.  After being retired for a few years we brought her back out as a Veteran. She not only won Best Veteran but Best of Breed from the Veteran class! We were thrilled as well when her daughter Maggie and son Bruno won Winners Dog and Winners Bitch with Bruno going Best Op to his mother, Maggie went Best of Winners at the same show. What a family affair! Mille has been gone a couple of years now but we still have such fond memories of her antics and of her “strutting her stuff”.

Otis

NV's Inevitable Presence JH

Photos of Otis available with upgrade.

Otis was born on December 24, 1993. We acquired Otis when he was two and a half years old. He had never seen a bird prior to coming to live with us. Otis didn’t point his first bird until he was almost three and a half, but once he figured out what he was supposed to do in the field he made rapid progress. He became a very accomplished hunting companion. Otis never quite attained his Show Championship, having retired from the show ring with twelve points including a three point major. Otis was probably the best teacher Sandy had in learning how to handle a show dog. He knew what to do and it wasn't long before Sandy was the only one he would let handle him. Otis left us January 3, 2006. We still enjoy telling "Otis" stories.

Schatzie

CH NMK-NV’s Schatz of Eventide MH

Photos of Schatzie available with upgrade

Schatzie was born on July 15, 1996.   Schatzie was one of ten puppies in her litter.   On the day she was born Sandy chose her to be his next hunting companion. Little did we know that Schatzie would go on to be the foundation bitch of our kennel.   At the ripe old age of seven months Schatzie completed her Junior Hunter title in four attempts.   She completed her Senior Hunter title in four straight tries at the age of eighteen months.   On September 3, 2000 Schatzie completed her Master Hunter title.   She completed her Show Championship on November 26, 2000.   Schatzie gave us three beautiful litters of puppies, many you can see on this website. She was a joy to hunt with and cuddle with. Schatzie is german for "sweetheart" and she lived up to her name. She ended her career with flourish when we brought her out of retirement at the Reno specialty show, September 2005. She won Best Veteran and then proceeded to win BOS to her son Blaze! Schatzie left us January 27, 2006. It was much too soon. We still miss her.
