The Dogs and Us

A little History of our Shorthaired Family, Sandy has long been an avid hunter and dog fancier. We started with Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, then added a German Shorthaired Pointer named Jagen in 1984. Although we will always have a place in our hearts for Chesapeakes we became enamored with the beauty of seeing a pointing dog work in the field. In 1996 when we lost Jagen, a whole new door opened up to us. We were introduced to the world of dog competition, both in the conformation ring and in the field. We were blessed with the addition to our family of Otis and Schatzie. Since they joined us, we have embarked on a wonderful journey of breeding dual quality dogs, field training, and show ring competition. We have been exceptionally blessed in all arenas. The dogs listed on the left are currently owned by It's About Time Kennels or are out of our breeding. Some are retired from competition but still may show off again in the veteran arena. Others are just embarking on their careers. Please visit each page by clicking on their name to see all of their accomplishments. We produce one to two litters a year. We guarantee our dogs will hunt and if new owners are in our vicinity Sandy offers discounted training to get your puppy off to a good start. If they are not close then he has been known to guide over the phone.
